Melanies has been online and serving swinging since 1999, and over time it's grown to the massive size it is now. We've written this page to help you get the most out of the site, so please take a couple of minutes to read through the bits below and you'll be making contact in no time at all. We're assuming that you're relatively new to the site and you've signed up and activated your account. If you haven't, then click here to sign up and if you have any problems, just drop us a line and we'll be glad to help.

PM System

This site uses a private messaging system or pm system, if you want to contact anyone, simply click on their name and the pm system will give you a box to type your message into, once you're done, simply click submit and the message will be sent. If you'd like to reply to a message someones sent you or just want to have a look at your messages, simply click the "My Messages" button on the blue bar at the top of the screen. This'll take you to your inbox, where you can compose new messages, reply to the ones you've received and more.

Forums

Now you've got an idea about how to communicate with other site members, its time to actually start making contact. There are two major ways to do that on Melanies. The first is by the forums, which are simple message boards that we use for everything from arranging a meet to having a laugh at what's going on in the world. To access the forums, simply click "Forums" on the left hand menu.

There are five forums to choose from, the first three are the meet me boards, for arranging meets at your home or a hotel, outdoor meets and club meets. If you haven't got a public profile yet, then you won't be able to post on these boards until you do, you can still post a reply to the topics that are listed on them, just not a new topic.

The other two boards are for general chat and for the munches. We recommend that you take a few minutes to have a look at the chat cafe forum, there's plenty of interesting and funny posts on there, and you're welcome to join in any of them. The munch board is for the various socials that are held around the country for the members of this site. There are plenty of them going on and they're an excellent way of meeting other swingers in a no pressure environment.

Profiles

Lots of members actively seeking meets have public profiles,. You can browse and reply to all of these by clicking "Profiles" on the left hand menu. Select search profiles and then choose an area to search. Click on any of the list of profiles that comes up for more information on that member like where they are and what they're looking for. Once you've found a member you like the look of, make contact with the pm system, it's that simple!

Taking it further

Once you've found your feet, you'll be able to get more out of Melanies by getting a profile, it's easy to do and only take a few minutes. Simply click the "My Profile" button on the blue bar at the top of the screen, and follow the instructions on the page. Once you've got your profile, you'll be to post your own meets on any of the meet me boards as well as joining all the other profile holders in the chatroom.
