About 3/4 mile along this country road as you are about to enter South Marston, directly opposite South Marston Village Hotel & Leisure Club, turn right into the lane that leads to Nightingale Wood car park. Turn right at the round about by the court straight over the next roundabout 200 yds on is a turning signed for Wessex water. We have tried it and there is car action or you can walk down by the river / woods for a little fun. It seems well used by the locals and no gays there.
